RCC Receives $5,000 Grant from USPOULTRY Foundation

Poultry GrantThe USPOULTRY Foundation awarded Richmond Community College a $5,000 grant to support the college's new articulation agreement with N.C. State University. The agreement allows graduates of RCC's associate in science program to transfer as juniors into the NCSU Poultry Science program. Accepting the check on behalf of the program is Kelsey Stutts (center) of Ellerbe, who is the first student with plans to take advantage of the opportunity. RCC is among 20 colleges and universities in the nation receiving support from the USPOULTRY Foundation. Foundation leaders feel it is critical to attract sharp young people to study for careers in the poultry industry.
